Dot’s awake

The day can now begin

Pa’s legs fell off in the middle of the night

She RUNS in to see

Legs found

Laughter fills the room as 

Purple gleams through the pull shade curtain

Morning light dances across her face

Wide eyed and full smiled 

She draws on the glass 

Finger painting the world of color

Little brother

Sad until he hears her

Smiles and watches

Wide eyed and full smiled

She’s his magic sunrise
